Leda Furniture has introduced “The Leda Advantage” program, which identifies and addresses concerns and problems faced by retailers & consumers today.
“In this difficult market place, we obtained feedback from several retailers, as well as consumer feedback, in regards to what changes they would like to see happen in the furniture buying process. The answers were varied but major areas of discontent surfaced time and time again. Once we had the information in front of us, the next hurdle was over-coming these shortcomings with positive actions” states Marco L Confalone, President.
The campaign addresses our new 14-day Quick Ship program, our focus on North American made product, as well as partnering with retailers and offering personal customer service and care.

Toronto, Canada - Medium to high-end casegoods manufacturer Leda Furniture is adding 18,000sqft to its current manufacturing facility, making the total size of their facility 175,000sqft. Groundbreaking has already begun on the expansion, which is expected to be completed by next spring.
The addition will allow Leda to add a new advanced finishing flat-line plus improve their warehouse and distribution operations. The need for the flat-line finishing system is to increase production capacity, improve quality and enter the contract office furniture market.
“This will be our first finishing flat-line and though its primary purpose will be for our new office contract line, we anticipate finishing some of our residential collections using the flat-line method as well.” states Leda’s President, Marco L. Confalone
The flat-line will run concurrently with their standard finishing line, thus increasing Leda’s productivity. The new flat-line system will help Leda improve efficiencies and control costs. Leda anticipates this new line will create employment for 20 additional employees to their total workforce.
Adds Confalone, “Just because the economy has been soft this year we are not going to wait around to see what will happen. We are in motion now and will always remain so to ensure that we can provide retailers and their customers quality product and service.”
This is the second addition to this building for family-owned business since they moved into it in 1994. “We have also discussed the possibility of planning a third addition to the building within 2 years,” adds Confalone.

Leda Furniture is introducing the first phase of an all new fabric program this spring, replacing their Peak Performance books.
Leda's new upholstery program has been designed to suit both contemporary and traditional tastes. Fabrics are available in a number of sophisticated patterns, textures and colors that include warming reds, soothing earth tones and calming neutrals. Leda worked hard to make things happen at June’s NeoCon trade show in Chicago with an expanded showroom, a new full collection launch and a Best of Market entry.
“This year we doubled the size of our showroom and utilized this expanded space to give a strong showing of our new Zoom collection with both desk suites and a boardroom table on display.” states Leda president Marco L Confalone.
Zoom is designed for today's business leaders offering an excellent blend of flexibility, aesthetics and function, and includes a plug n’ play interface. Designed by one of Italy's most prolific design firms, Benci & Benci has tailored the architecture of this tactile collection of floating tops to create the illusion of a ¼" thick worksurface.
To accentuate these slim-line tops they are mounted on mini risers which in turn are suspended overtop of the pedestal towers. The design features give Zoom a soft-modern design quality.
Leda entered the Zoom Glass Desk suite in as a NeoCon Best of Market finalist. “This was our first ever entry into the competition.” adds Confalone.
Leda’s entire contract line is domestically produced, as is their residential and hospitality products.
“We were very excited about our participation this year and are confident that we can offer the office furniture community timely designs and service they desire,” adds Confalone.

Leda’s sexy, approachable, fully urban aesthetic Park Plaza collection gets added appeal with the recently introduced Auburn finish.
As with Astoria and Allegro, the decision to add another finish was to give consumers options. “Why do consumers always need to be limited to one choice?” asks Leda President Marco L Confalone, “If the possibility is there for options, then let’s make it available.
The new Auburn finish gives Park Plaza a softer contemporary feel in a almost transitional manner. This is ideal for consumers wanting to vary away from traditional styles but not jump too far into contemporary.
Park Plaza’s Auburn finish is now in production and available for ordering.
Images of Park Plaza in the new Auburn finish can be viewed on our website under the Collections banner. You may also contact our office for more information on Park Plaza, other Leda product and retailer information.
